Our Approach

The R.E.P. Program combines instructor led training with self-paced learning on the principles of starting a small business. Each module helps to develop confidence in becoming a small business owner and provides the tools to establish the foundations for forming a business. By the end of the program, you will have a developed business startup presentation to present to investors, funders, and potential business partners.

Instructor Led Training

Every in-class session is led by one of our subject matter
experts in entrepreneurship. With over 50 years combined, residents gain access to professionals in both the offline and online worlds of business building, so no question can’t be answered.

Real World Entrepreneurship Curriculum

The foundation of starting and growing a business comes from more than a text book. Our in-real-life course is based on what the real world needs to stand out in the noisy world of business. As you go through the program, you will learn, in real time, how to plan for a successful business.

Online Community

No business is built alone. Our in-house online community is focused on two things only: Focus and results. In our R.E.P. community, you will have opportunities to connect with like-minded startups, in an effort to learn and grow together. Get help along the way to building your pitch deck.

Access To Mentorship

As your business idea grows, so does your need to ask for insights. Our program connects you to additional small business owners that are willing to share the knowledge to you, so you can improve as your grow.

Who is eligible to join this program?

Participants will explore essential topics, including business planning, marketing strategies, financial management, legal considerations, and building a network of support. Each week features interactive workshops, expert guest speakers, and real-world case studies.

Will I receive any support after the program ends?

Yes! Upon completion of the program, participants will have access to ongoing mentorship and resources. We facilitate connections The From Grass to Grace Organization and business networks to provide continued support and guidance as you launch your business.

Is there a cost to participate in this program?

The program is offered at no cost to participants. We believe in making entrepreneurship accessible to returning citizens, so we cover all materials, workshops, and resources needed for your success.

What if I have no prior business experience?

No prior experience is necessary! The program is designed to accommodate all skill levels, providing foundational knowledge and practical skills to help you navigate the entrepreneurial landscape confidently.

What is the time commitment required each week?

Participants should expect to commit approximately 4-6 hours each week. This includes attending weekly sessions, completing assignments, and engaging in networking opportunities. We understand that many participants may have other responsibilities, so we aim for flexibility.

Can I receive financial assistance for starting my business after the program?

While the program itself does not provide direct funding, we connect participants with local resources and organizations that may offer grants, loans, or additional training. We also help you craft a pitch deck that can attract potential investors.
